Republican Women of Kalamazoo Events

December 10th-The RWKC will swear in its new board! This is a very nice event for the women, and it will also be our Christmas-Holiday party. Newly elected RWFM President June Jackson will swear us in and tell us what her vision is for the Republican Women of Michigan! Come and join us for dinner at the Black Swan Restaurant. RSVP by Dec. 7th to Jeanie. Bring an unwrapped toy of your choice to the dinner.

January 21st-Jase Bolger-Candidate for the 63rd District, the 63rd district covers the eastern portion of Kalamazoo County and part of Calhoun County. Jase currently serves as a Calhoun County Commissioner. December 7th-Annual RWFM Christmas luncheon in Frankenmuth. Board meeting starts at 10 a.m. Lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Bavarian Inn. Wally and Irene Bronner will be providing entertainment and you can't help but get into the Christmas spirit! After the lunch take a trip to Bronner's and get your Christmas Holiday decorations. Cost will be $20 per person. We will be swearing in the 2008-2009 RWFM board of directors. RSVP to Sandra Kahn Let's have a great showing from Kalamazoo!

November 26-Van Buren Co. Republican Women's meeting. National Committeewoman Holly Hughes will be the speaker. Place-D'Coy Duck in Lawton. Social at 6 p.m. and order off the menu. RSVP to Karen Makay VBRWC will also be electing their new officers.

November 26--Hispanic Leaders and Community Members meet with The Honorable US Congressman Joe Knollenberg. A recognition award will be presented to the Congressman from the Government of Peru. Time 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jalapeno's Restaurant, 812 Baldwin Avenue, Pontiac, Michigan. No charge, come and enjoy fine Latin American Cuisine. RSVP to prdaveo@yahoo.com

November 28-The Western Michigan College Republicans are hosting ABC's 20/20 Anchor John Stossel on campus beginning at 7 p.m. at the Shaw Theatre. Stossel's speech is "Freedom and its Enemies: Why Greed is Good." Event is open to public, seating on first come first serve basis. With a donation to the WMU College Republicans ($50 per person/$75 per couple) comes reserved seating and access to a private reception with a photo line and book signing. January 15, 2008- Presidential Primary election. Get involved and help the Republicans take back the house and senate in Washington! And elect a Republican President!

February 7, 2008-7 p.m. Local County Conventions held to elect delegates and alternates to the Michigan Republican State Committee. All precinct delegates, elected office holders will get notice. EVEN, if you are not a precinct delegate or an elected office holder, this meeting is open to the public, and you may be able to be seated to become a delegate or alternate. More information on how the delegate process will work and how the county conventions are to proceed can be found at Delegate process information

February 15-16, 2008-Michigan Republican State Convention. Election of Delegates and Alternates to the National Republican Convention to be held on September 1-4, 2008 and also the election of National Committeeman and Committeewoman.

Sept 1-4, 2008-Republican National Convention 2008 Conventionin Minneapolis-St. Paul. If you haven't ever been to a national convention it is awesome!
