Yes, I want to get involved!
It is not to early to start thinking of running for office or working on a 2008 campaign. 2008 will be a very important year for Republicans as we seek to take back Michigan House of Representative and take one of the US Senate seats and keep the White House with Republican leadership! There will be excellent candidates running and they can use your help. Their web sites are listed in the LINK section.

We also will be seeing candidates for the state house, many of our Republican Legislators are termed out. Let's put the state government in Republican hands to keep our taxes down, expand business and create job growth. In Kalamazoo County the 61st district held currently by Rep. Jack Hoogendyk will be up for grabs. Currently Portage City Councilman Larry DeShazor has thrown his hat into the ring. His council website www.deshazor.com. Representative Lorence Wenke is termed out of the 63rd District seat which covers part of Kalamazoo and Calhoun Counties. Jase Bolger a Calhoun County Commissioner has thrown his hat into the ring. And Joe Calvaruso, former Kalamazoo County Republican Party Chairman, 6th district member, and state committee member is also thinking about running. Get behind a candidate and keep the 63rd district in Republican hands!

All campaigns need volunteers to get the message out. Many activities need you, whether it is walking in a parade, handing out literature or making phones. And many many more opportunites to get involved. You will also meet new people and share your views with many that share the same concerns about our county and our country.
